Terms & Conditions

These terms explain how customers and service providers use Halo Hive and the standards expected on the platform.

Last updated: 21 June 2026

1. Agreement

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") are an agreement between you and HALO HIVE LTD ("Halo Hive", "we", "us", or "our"). By accessing the website, creating an account, requesting a quote, booking a service, or using any platform feature, you agree to these Terms.

Halo Hive provides a marketplace where customers can find, book, and pay independent service providers. We provide the platform, communication tools, booking flow, and payment support. The provider remains responsible for carrying out the booked service.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating or using an account. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity that takes place under your account.

  • Customers must be legally able to enter into a booking.
  • Providers must be legally able, qualified, and insured where their work requires it.
  • We may suspend or close accounts that contain false information, misuse the platform, or create a risk to other users.

3. Bookings

A booking is confirmed only when the platform shows confirmation and any required payment or payment authorisation has been completed. The details shown at checkout form the basis of the booking.

  • A checkout may include one or more services from the same provider.
  • Dates, times, prices, service duration, visiting charges, and customer notes should be checked before confirming.
  • For custom jobs, the accepted provider quote forms part of the booking.

4. Payments

Prices, charges, discounts, and available payment methods are shown before checkout. You agree to pay the full amount shown for the booking and any additional charge that you approve through the platform.

Where payments are processed through Halo Hive, we may collect funds and manage settlement to providers in line with our internal payment process. This does not make Halo Hive the provider of the underlying service.

5. Changes and cancellations

Cancellation and rescheduling options depend on the policy shown for the selected service and the timing of the request. Refunds, where applicable, are returned using the original payment route or another reasonable method.

If a provider cancels, fails to attend, or cannot complete the work, Halo Hive may help with communication, rebooking, or refund handling where appropriate.

6. Customer responsibilities

  • Provide accurate service details, address information, access instructions, and contact details.
  • Make sure the work area is safe and reasonably ready for the provider.
  • Treat providers respectfully and use platform communication honestly.
  • Do not move confirmed bookings or payments away from Halo Hive to avoid fees or platform rules.

7. Provider responsibilities

  • Keep profiles, services, pricing, availability, and service areas accurate.
  • Hold required qualifications, registrations, licences, insurance, and permission to work.
  • Arrive within agreed windows and perform services with reasonable skill and care.
  • Use platform tools, booking records, proof of work, and customer messages honestly.
  • Pay any platform fees, commissions, or subscription charges that apply.

8. Platform rules

You must not use Halo Hive for fraud, harassment, discrimination, unlawful activity, impersonation, unauthorised access, spam, or infringement of another person's rights.

Reviews, photos, messages, and other submitted content must be honest, relevant, and lawful. You keep ownership of your content, but allow Halo Hive to display and use it for operating and improving the platform.

9. Liability and disputes

Halo Hive is not responsible for the acts, omissions, workmanship, timing, or conduct of independent providers or customers. We do not guarantee that every service will meet every expectation.

If a dispute arises, customers and providers should first use platform tools to communicate clearly and provide evidence where relevant. Halo Hive may assist at its discretion, but is not required to act as an arbitrator.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation.

10. Privacy, changes, and contact

We process personal data in line with our Privacy Policy. We may update these Terms when needed. If a material change affects your use of the platform, we will take reasonable steps to bring it to your attention.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction unless mandatory consumer law provides otherwise.
